Whether the safety protection of fiber laser cutting machine machine tools and system protection is advanced and effective is an important indicator for evaluating the quality level of such equipment. Therefore, in the design of the equipment, simple and practical measures are taken to protect the optical system of the machine tool, which not only greatly improves the safety protection performance of the equipment, but also improves the protection function of the system, which can effectively extend the service life of the equipment. The protection of the optical system in similar foreign equipment is to install a ZnSe window on the ports of the reflector holder 1 and 2 (as shown in Figure 6) to prevent the pollution of the optical system by smoke and dust. However, the laser beam between mirror 1 and mirror 2 is still exposed to the outside, and there is a danger of personal injury. Moreover, the harsh working environment will also make it difficult for expensive ZnSe windows to maintain longevity.
For the fiber laser cutting machine, we used the method shown in Figure 7 and obtained very satisfactory results. This structure can protect the cleanliness of the optical system, and also plays a role in protecting the human body from accidental injury caused by the laser, and the cost is low. Among them, the dust cover 1 plays a role of preventing dust, and the sleeve 2 plays a role of guiding and supporting. The sleeve is made of metal material, which is easy to disassemble and assemble. The laser pipe processing equipment developed by this project adopts a unique electric chuck rotating mechanism, a differential displacement sensor follow-up system [12], a fully sealed one-way flying optical system and an original air-cooled processing technology, etc. Compared with similar foreign products, it has the advantages of low manufacturing and use costs (about 1/3 of foreign products), excellent performance, simple operation, and convenient maintenance. It is more suitable for the actual needs of the Chinese market.
