The nozzle and the electrode of the cutter require frequent replacements. Moreover, it cannot be used to cut plastic or wood as it is non-conductive. Another major drawback is that most of these cutters leave a bevel on the edge of the metal. It is unnoticeable on thinner metals but it is quite visible on thicker metal pieces. Nevertheless, plasma cutters are widely used in most of the industries as it is quick, precise and efficient.
