Engine - It's most important part is the engine. It is equipped with a two-stroke petrol engine or an electric motor.

Guide bar - It is a round ended elongated bar. It consists of an edge slot that guides the cutting chain.

Cutting chain - It consists of a small sharp cutting teeth made of chromium plated steel with a sharp angular or curved corner and two cutting edges, one on the top plate and one on the side plate.
